FEMA SEED MIT UrbanRISKLab Shelter

In February 2021, CCT performed CSC testing on a specialty container expandable shelter built for hurricane relief. The container was built by MIT UrbanRISKLab for future FEMA rescue and relief missions. Completing testing on this container highlights how we specialize in testing and certifying specialized containers that have been uniquely built or modified that do not typically fit the rudimental thought of a shipping container, which the CSC and ISO handbooks originally outlined in the past. The curent shelter is at the next phase of testing replicating storm and hurricane conditions which it is built for. Check out the link below to learn more from the creators about how the container was made and how it will be used to help people in remote locations recover from disasters caused by extreme weather.  https://urbanrisklab.org/work#/seed/
